The only thing you can really do is tell him that you won't allow it in your home. Tell him if he gets into any trouble related to the pot....you won't support him. If he thinks he's old enough to make these kinds of decisions on his own, he'll have to take it all the way and deal with any possible consequences on his own too.
Tell him it is illegal and if caught could face harsh punishments.
Whether you agree with it or not, it is still illegal to use.
WOW! I just busted MY son smoking a cigarette for the first time because he was curious what it tasted like. He is 13. I cried, but not in front of him. He handled it well, actually. He knew I smelled it on him and came back to me within the hour crying and confessing. I told him I know you wanted to try it. I did when I was young. Please don't TRY anything else. Talk to me first! The second time I WON'T be so nice. Your son is already set in his ways being 15. It does NOT mean he's mature in anyway, obviously thinking marijuana is a GOOD thing. I work with offenders. I'm a secretary for therapists. I see 'druggies' all the time. Tell him 'they thought they could handle it too'. Now they have a record along WITH a fried mind! It WILL catch up with you. The point of it not doing it suddenly is what catches their eye to want to keep doing it. You don't die overnight with cancer either, but it does work on your body day to day. Please pray for him and keep talking to him, but not in a pestering-nagging way about it. Don't yell - he'll just shut you down. Good luck!
