12 year old daughter loves 16 year old boy...
Parents Support One Another @ MyOutOfControlTeen.com/support = I need help with the following issue: Telling my 12 year old daughter that she cannot see or talk with a 16 year old boy she says she love. She says she will run away. His family is messed up as well they use drugs... his dad is violent and his parents see nothing wrong with them seeing each other. Help has anyone dealt with this, what did you do?

Dont force your opinion on your daughter. It can only turn on the rebellion in her and you may not know in future where she is heading.Become her best friend and keep a watchful eye.Invite the boy for a family get together so that you & his family also know.In this way the boy's family will also keep a check on his activities.
I know you don't want to hear it but you can't keep them apart that would be wrong. And also, it's time for the Bird's and the Bee's talk. FYI this is harder on you than them. Also, talk about birth control with your family physician.
That happens. If you try to keep them apart, it's going to make it just that much more fun for them to sneak around. But at the same time, you cant give her too much freedom...you got yourself a problem there. Good Luck.
They WILL go behind your back. and your daughter will end up not telling you about future relationships. you will grow apart from her
I would let it go... let them be kids.
BUT.... sit her down and have a nice long talk about sex ect...
Let them date in YOUR house, with you watching them.
Hi, my son is dating a girl that is 14. I was a little surprised myself but, these days , i guess it is the norm? whatever that is. anyway, my husband and I would rather know this then for them to go behind our backs. they are always supervised. i know that sounds terrible. but, I think it is needed. meet his parents get to know them and him of course, and go from there. we are doing good so far here. I hope it stays that way. just remind them to keep their head on straight as my husband puts it.. they have been going out now for about a year so far.. I already told them i am too young to be a grandma i am still a mama of a 2 year old ya know.. I wish you luck.. lay down your rules etc.. but be open to talk with your daughter or her boyfriend that is how you can get to know him and them as a couple.. hope some of this helps i know every situation is different. be open to her so she won't sneak around behind your back..
