Is it any of my business to tell?

This weekend is the beginning of my spring break for high school and a couple of my girl friends want to have a surprise party for another friend. There will be drinking of a total of maybe 6 girls (range of age 17-18) with the parent of the household knowing. Personally, I'm not a drinker, I am actually going to wait until I'm 21 or older to begin drinking. I will be the only sober teenager there but I don't know how to explain this to my parents. Also, I don't know if I should. Since I'm not drinking and my friends are, is it any of my business to tell? The other girls spending the night parents don't know and I'd rather not be the 'tattle' in the group. I have a good trust foundation with both of my parents and I'd really like to keep it that way. Please, parents of teenagers only, how would you like your child to come about this situation?

Don't go. Those parents are irresponsible and if your parents ever found out you were at a party with drinking and the parents allowed the drinking, your parents may turn them in(as I would) and you do not want to be involved with that in any way.

Good for you for waiting to drink. Don't disappoint your parents. They sound like really great ones.

Do you really even want to go to a party where everybody is going to be drinking and you are the only sober one? I find the parent who is allowing this underage drinking very irresponsible at the very least. If you were my daughter I would trust you since you seem to be very level headed however I would not be comfortable with you going and would likely say you couldn't go.

Don't go.. if you do tell your folks why you are not going they might call the cops on the parents allowing the drinking which personally I would do in a heartbeat, underage drinking is nothing but troubles.
Letting teens drink is not being a 'cool parent' that is being one stupid adult! This isn't about tattling this is totally about illegal!

Why do they want to drink? Are they really friends if they are making the choice to do something illegal behind their parent's backs? Who is purchasing the alcohol for this "party"? There is something seriously wrong with a parent who allows underage drinking. If something were to happen to one of the girls, how would that be explained? Dumb choices by everyone involved. Definitely stay home and think about what you are doing as their friend. You are much better than they are.

First, the parent of the child allowing the drinking is opening herself/himself up to liability if something happens to one of the girls while they are drinking. Second, if my daughter said that she was going to a party where underage drinking was going to be taking place I would not let her go, even if I knew that she was not going to be drinking. Drinking and underage kids just does not mix. Drinking and adults doesn't really mix either, but that's another story all together.

Here read this and then make your decision. Im not the parent of a teenager I was one im 26 now.
I went to a party, Mom,
I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom,
So I drank soda instead.

I really felt proud inside, Mom,
The way you said I would.
I didn't drink and drive, Mom,
Even though the others said I should.

I know I did the right thing, Mom,
I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending, Mom,
As everyone is driving out of sight.

As I got into my car, Mom,
I knew I'd get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me,
So responsible and sweet.

I started to drive away, Mom,
But as I pulled out into the road,
The other car didn't see me, Mom,
And hit me like a load.

As I lay there on the pavement, Mom,
I hear the policeman say,
"The other guy is drunk," Mom,
And now I'm the one who will pay.

I'm lying here dying, Mom...
I wish you'd get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom?
My life just burst like a balloon.

There is blood all around me, Mom,
And most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom,
I'll die in a short time.

I just wanted to tell you, Mom,
I swear I didn't drink.
It was the others, Mom.
The others didn't think.

He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank
And I will die.

Why do people drink, Mom?
It can ruin your whole life.
I'm feeling sharp pains now.
Pains just like a knife.

The guy who hit me is walking, Mom,
And I don't think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying
And all he can do is stare.

Tell my brother not to cry, Mom.
Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom,
Put "Daddy's Girl" on my grave.

Someone should have told him, Mom,
Not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom,
I would still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter, Mom.
I'm becoming very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mom.
When I needed you,
you were always there.

I have one last question, Mom.
Before I say good bye.
I didn't drink and drive,
So why am I the one to die?
