My 18-year-old daughter and I have been fighting about her future. All of the sudden she wants to take a career path that has no chance of ever allowing her to be financially self-sufficient. Her response is always the same, "Well, you can't always have things your way, Dad" It's never about how fulfilling the job would be. It feels like she is doing this to get back at me for something or prove she can stand up to me. This situation makes no sense to me or her mother.
