i'm trying to figure out how to get my son to come home by his probational curfew which is 10pm, we get in constant arguments over this which he ignores and comes home around midnight. he is 17 years old. thanks.

If he's on probation, just tell his PO and let him deal with it. You're not trying to "save" your son from legal consequences - are you?
He's 17? I'd tell him the doors are locked at 10:00 PM. If he shows up later than that, call the police and don't let your son in until the cops show up and make a report, which will then go to his PO.
